Reese Witherspoon kids come first

Reese Witherspoon puts motherhood before movies.

The actress has kids Ava, 11, and Deacon, seven, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe and is adamant her family comes before her career.

“I got divorced, and it was really hard. And even if my Southern background has taught me how to transform painful experiences into ‘glorious memories’, it takes time,” she told the French edition of Glamour. “This, and my role as a mother, has made me realize that my job was not my priority.”

Reese recently admitted her new husband Jim Toth thinks her life is “bizarre”.

The Water for Elephants actress who married the Hollywood agent in a small ceremony in March thinks Jim is shocked at suddenly being the center of attention having always been behind the camera and working with talent out of the public glare previously.

“He thinks it’s totally bizarre,” Reese said. “I think you have an instinct when you’re with the person you want to build a life with. You learn more as you get older about what you need in a partner.”
