Martin Sheen 'Charlie Sheen always been bad'

Martin Sheen claims his troubled son, actor Charlie Sheen, would never even of made it into showbiz had it not been for an early eruption of his hell-raising behaviour.

The acting legend says Charlie’s badboy ways has long been a part his personality and that he may never have made it as an actor without it.

“Charlie kind of backed into acting,” says Martin. “He was on the baseball team, and he was very good, but he wasn’t doing his studies. He was ill disciplined, so he got kicked off the team.

“I was forced to see a side of Charlie that I’d blinkered up until then. So then, as a second thought, he took himself off for an audition and he got the part!”

Of Charlie’s current situation, Martin adds, “I include Charlie in my prayers. I always lift him up. I know the hell he lives in, because I was there. We’ve been through some very difficult times, but we understand what Charlie’s hell is.”
