British soul sensation Adele has claimed that her ex-boyfriend, who she refuses to name, demanded royalties for her debut album 19.
The 'Rolling In The Deep' songstress explained that the ex wanted payment for being a bad boyfriend and inspiring her to write the record.
"For about a week he was calling and was deadly serious about it," she told The Sun.
"Finally, I said, 'Well, you made my life hell, so I lived it and now I deserve it'. He really thought he'd had some input into the creative process by being a p***k.
"I'll give him this credit - he made me an adult and put me on the road that I'm travelling."
Her debut 19 is currently at number three in the UK album chart, despite being released over three years ago.
Her sophomore record 21 has topped the charts in the US and is currently spending its 14th week at number one on the UK album chart.
