Nick Cannon 'Mariah Carey beer claims false'

Nick Cannon has defended wife Mariah Carey over tabloid claims that she drank beer during her recent stay in hospital.
Cannon said that reports Carey drank alcohol while giving birth to twins last month are completely false.
"The Child Protective Services were called with allegations that there was some drinking and drugs and all that going on while we were in the hospital," Cannon explained to Piers Morgan onTonight. "Which, again, makes no sense to me - how would a hospital even allow that?"
Cannon explained that the rumours had started after an innocent suggestion by one of the hospital nurses.
"A nurse suggested to my wife that if you drink a small amount of Guinness it improves the yeast for breast-feeding," Cannon continued. "I guess, I don't know, someone overheard that, and they were saying that my wife was drinking beer."
He added: "People will do anything to conjure up a story."
Carey gave birth to the couple's first children two weeks ago, son Moroccan Scott Cannon and daughter Monroe Cannon.

Days after twins Monroe and Moroccan were born, Nick treated his wife to a four-carat diamond and sapphire necklace.
