Paula Abdul confirmed as US X Factor judge

Paula Abdul has finally reached a deal to become the fourth and final judge on The X Factor USA, according to reports.
The singer had been linked to the role, but negotiations stalled because of her existing contract with CBS for cancelled series Live to Dance.
Abdul had been asked to show up at USC's Galen Centre today to film the show's auditions whether a deal had been reached or not. However, representatives for the star have worked through the night to finalise her contract, Deadline reports.
Abdul joins Simon Cowell, producer Antonio 'L.A.' Reid and British convicted criminal Cheryl Cole on the judging panel. 
It has also been confirmed that Nicole Scherzinger and British TV presenter Steve Jones will host the show.
